One of the features of our Italian home is it comes with it's own Air Show. We live close to a civilain airport that is home to an Aerial Demo team (or at least they practice here regularly).
It's a 3 member team. Show Center is just off our porch, so we get to se lots of cool loops and turns.
I'm sure there is some sort of show scheduled for the summer, but I can't seem to find the dates or details. If only I could read Italian.
The kids wave at them, but I think the pilots are kind of busy. A pilot buddy of mine said they use this airstrip instead of the base for crowd control. He mentioned he flew one of the fighter jet fast passes in years past.
I looked on the web and there was a giant show just last year. Rats. I'm sure we won't be here for the next 100th anniversary.
Our pics don't so it justice really. It's really fun to watch.
Maybe while we are here the AF base will host an air show and bring the T-birds.
